At Guiding Eyes in Yorktown or Patterson
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
At every Guiding Eyes for the Blind graduation, we gather to celebrate the creation of successful guide-dog teams. Not always present, however, are the literally hundreds of volunteers who make that celebration possible. The vast network of Guiding Eyes volunteers spans twelve states and includes more than 1,200 volunteers throughout the Northeast. These volunteers are critical to the Guiding Eyes mission of promoting the dignity, security, and independence of those who are blind or visually impaired by providing them with a highly-trained Guiding Eyes dog.
You can volunteer in one of our facilities located in either Yorktown Heights or Patterson, New York , or in the comfort of your own home, by volunteering for the Brood Stud Program, Home Litter Care, Home Socialization Program, or Puppy Raising Program. Whatever your talents and interests, we would love to have you join us as we work to improve the lives of the blind and visually impaired.
All Volunteers are asked to sign a Code of Conduct prior to volunteering, indicating that they will adhere to the highest standard of professional conduct.
