Car and Bike Show to Benefit Guiding Eyes

by volunteer Cathy Capasso

Cathy Capasso with German shepherd MasonFive years ago, I got together with fellow car and motorcycle enthusiasts to figure out how to make a difference for animals and their people. Team Michelangelo’s Annual Charity Car & Motorcycle Show was formed. I grew up in White Plains and had known about Guiding Eyes since I was a child; the organization seemed like the right fit to be the show’s recipient charity.

I attended my first graduation in April, 2010 and I knew I had to get even more involved. As it turned out, the perfect position was available: graduate biographer.  I get to interview the students each month, writing the stories of their journeys and why they come to Guiding Eyes. Their lives are transformed when they graduate and venture forth as working teams. And of course, the story doesn’t end here… it is only just beginning.

I am consistently inspired by the people I meet each month, and it motivates all our whole team to work hard and put on a great car show! Team Michelangelo is proud to support the important mission of Guiding Eyes.

The 2014 show will be held on Sunday, April 27th in White Plains, NY.  For more information, check out the flyer below or visit www.fortheloveofpetsandpeople.com.
