I have been a Mount Kisco Lion for ten years.  It’s a close-knit group committed to serving the community as well as supporting the mission of Guiding Eyes.  One of the things I find most appealing is that the Mount Kisco Lions club not only understands the value of supporting Guiding Eyes but also the potential of people who are blind to be active and productive members of the community.

On July 28th, the club will host its second annual motorcycle ride to benefit Guiding Eyes.  The ride is 75 miles long and takes participants on a police-escorted journey through the scenic Hudson Valley.  All guests are invited to the barbecue lunch at the ride’s conclusion.  For more info, see the flyer below, contact club president Bob Scop at 914 760 0014 or visit our website at

I rode in this event last summer and truly had a blast!  There’s absolutely nothing like the wind in your face.  No, my guide dog did not ride along, but – he is a vital partner in my life, allowing me the freedom and confidence to travel in my community and beyond.

Hope to see you on July 28th!
