Jolly was sponsored from Birth to Career by the Laulhere family. They share: “We, along with Cherese, wish you the most joyous day, and many congratulations on your graduation. Cherese Mari Laulhere, who unfortunately is no longer with us, is both humbled and honored to have sponsored this part of your journey. She shares with you the qualities of kindness, compassion, dedication, and resiliency. Her all-around compassion for humanity and great love of animals make her a great match for those like you in the Guiding Eyes programs. Congratulations again, and the warmest of wishes, Cherese Mari Laulhere, Todd, and Teresa Laulhere”

Never has there been a more aptly-named dog than Jolly. From the day her sweet self bounced into our lives, she has epitomized her moniker. Whether on her first outing to Kohl’s and her first interaction with linoleum or the day she bounded onto the GEB van to go IFT, Jolly has always brought a zeal for life and an enthusiasm for new experiences. She encouraged us to stretch ourselves through new adventures and test what she was truly capable of handling. From cider festivals to meeting St. Nicholas at German Christmas markets, theater adventures to the National Aquarium, our girl tackled it all with poise, confidence, and an unerring bounce in her gait. Raising this little lady has been an absolute joy, and she continues to live up to one of her many nicknames: Queen Bean. Love you forever, little heart dog. Be safe, healthy, and happy, and live your best life with your new partner. We couldn’t be prouder of you. ~Karoline Avard and Ron Heft
