Founded in 1954, Guiding Eyes for the Blind is known for embracing every person connected with the school as a member of our community and for the collective spirit of its staff.
Guiding Eyes is committed to our mission: providing guide dogs to people with vision loss. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, we provide all services completely free of charge, relying upon the contributions of our generous donors to fulfill our mission.
People who work at Guiding Eyes are motivated, hard-working, optimistic and dedicated. We are passionate about connecting exceptional dogs with individuals for greater independence. And of course, we love dogs.
At Guiding Eyes, you’ll find challenging and fulfilling career paths, a comprehensive benefits package and a dog-friendly work environment.
When you become a part of the Guiding Eyes’ team, you’ll be joining a network of people coming from different backgrounds and perspectives, but with one common and simple mission: to connect exceptional guide dogs with people with vision loss at no cost, so they can experience a life of opportunity and independence.
Guiding Eyes knows that every person who is blind is different from the next. We create a special partnership between each student and their guide dog – and support that partnership throughout their lives together. We are known for our individualized programs, free services, proprietary relationship-based training, lifetime support, and of course – our exceptional guide dogs.
You’ll also enjoy these added benefits:
People who are blind or visually impaired are part of a diverse community, and Guiding Eyes respects the importance of reflecting the same diversity among our employees and volunteers. We are an inclusive (and dog-friendly!) workplace, and accommodations can be made available.
Guiding Eyes for the Blind is approved by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501 (C) (3) tax-exempt organization, and all donations are tax deductible to the extent provided by law.
Guiding Eyes for the Blind Federal Identification Number (EIN) is 13-1854606.
