Retirement Group: For any graduates who are preparing to retire a guide or who are actively facing the retirement transition, we want to acknowledge the changes you are going through.
Bereavement Group: Additionally, for those of you who are preparing to have a guide cross over the Rainbow Bridge, or who are actively experiencing grief and bereavement around the passing of a guide, we want to hear your story and honor the life of your beloved friend.
The Zoom information is sent by email to our graduates each month. If you have not been receiving these monthly announcements, please contact clientexperience@guidingeyes.org.
*** Zoom Etiquette Reminders:
If no one experiencing pending or active retirement or bereavement transitions shows up to the call by 7:15pm Eastern, we will terminate the call at that time.
*** Please Note:
The monthly retirement and bereavement groups offered are for peer support and are not a substitution for individual or group therapy. If you are experiencing acute psychological distress or crisis, please speak with an appropriate licensed professional to receive the necessary level of support for your situation.
For those of you who hold a special place in your heart for peer support groups – the Grad Council is looking to expand our network of support for graduates facing these challenging transitions. In order to maintain a consistent cadence of monthly meetings, we will need to draw from the compassionate strengths of our community. If you are interested in being involved in a rotation of supportive peers who can help with aspects of meetings such as introductions and articulating group agreements, please check the criteria below to see if you qualify and contact Ashley Townsend Tavera for more information.
