Celebrate National Puppy Day!

Today, we’re celebrating the joy, curiosity, and incredible potential of puppies at the beginning of their journeys. Each playful moment and milestone helps shape them into confident, life-changing partners with the help of our dedicated puppy raisers. Get to know these lovable personalities who are already making an impact – one wag at a time.

A “National Puppy Day 2026” graphic shows Labrador retriever puppies in taped Polaroid-style photos on a light blue background with doodled hearts, stars, and a paw print. In the center is a larger photo of a black Lab puppy on green turf, and at the bottom is the two-tone Guiding Eyes logo.

A graphic shows a black Labrador puppy on green turf inside a white Polaroid-style frame with a wide bottom border. Text reads: “Anita, 8 weeks.” The two-tone Guiding Eyes logo is displayed below.

Anita: Anita is a bouncy, fun‑loving girl who’s ready to begin her journey in the Puppy Raising Program, and she’s looking for the right person to guide her along the way! Full of curiosity and potential, she loves to hop and bounce when she’s playing, bringing joy to every moment! With love, patience, and consistency, Anita will start building the skills and confidence that can change a life, including yours! Could you be this little girl’s puppy raiser?

Rapunzel: Rapunzel is a feisty, inquisitive, and playful puppy with confidence far bigger than her size. During her first weeks at home she showed off her adventurous spirit by happily zooming across the packed snow in the backyard. Smart and friendly, she loves her bright pink crinkly duck, squeaky ball, and her all‑time favorite treat: ice cubes! Rapunzel also holds her own playing with bigger dogs, including visits from her mom, Thimble, and grandpa, Denny, who live close by. Full of curiosity and charm, she approaches every new experience with enthusiasm!

Aspen: Aspen is a very social, happy, and enthusiastic puppy who loves bones of every kind and believes any treat is worth celebrating (even his own kibble outside of mealtime!). Gentle and playful, he quickly formed a special bond with his puppy raiser’s young grandson, happily joining in living‑room picnics and practicing commands (especially when treats were involved). A true snuggle expert, Aspen’s favorite place is curled up with his people, sharing lots of love.

Polar: Polar is a sweet, goofy, and easygoing pup who’s always ready to roll with whatever the day brings, whether that means an early morning gym run or sleeping in and taking things slow! Adaptable and curious, Polar is doing well with his obedience skills (heel, close, touch, and stand are his favorites!). After walks, training, and playtime with his raiser’s pet terrier mix, Polar is happiest stretched out on his side for a long nap, feet straight out and fully recharged for the next adventure.

A Polaroid-style graphic shows a close-up of a black dog wearing a red-and-black checkered bandana, with the text “Fantasia, 16 mos.” At the bottom left there’s a small, tilted Polaroid-style inset photo of the same dog as a puppy. The two-tone Guiding Eyes logo is below.

Fantasia: Fantasia is a sweet, spunky, and smart puppy who loves her “Mr. Fox” toy, Benebones, and crunchy treats like carrots and Fruitables. When she’s happy, she can’t help but run joyful circles! When she’s working in her vest, she’s calm, focused, and incredibly well‑behaved. With her natural ability to sense when people need comfort, Fantasia is a loving, intuitive pup who truly shines as part of a team.

Fun Fact! – Fantasia and her puppy raiser have accomplished an incredible feat together! Fantasia is ready to embark on the next phase of her journey, formal harness training at our headquarters in Yorktown Heights, NY. Fantasia is sure to change someone’s life one day, but we know the first life she changed was her raiser’s!
