On September 28th, Guiding Eyes was pleased to host members of Lion’s Club International at our Yorktown campus, celebrating their decades-long partnership and ongoing generosity. On a beautiful autumn day, activities began with a reception at the Carriage House and continued out on the Nature Path, in Alumni Hall, the Kennel and Vet Hospital. Lions from local regions participated in Juno walks, guide dog demonstrations, kennel tours, demystifying blindness sessions, and toured the newly redesigned dorm room. They also had the opportunity to check out the three new vans funded by the Lions. Rosie’s Cafe treated our guests to a delicious barbecue on the front lawn.
Guiding Eyes remains grateful for the support we receive from the Lions Club International each year. Their commitment to our mission has made a valuable difference in the lives of so many experiencing vision loss.
