Graduate Spotlight: Raven and Tammy

Meet Guiding Eyes graduate Raven and guide dog TammyAre you ready for the snow? Raven and Tammy are!

Raven lost her vision at age two. Six years ago, she was in college and became stranded in a blizzard. Though she was only steps from her dorm, her usual tools for navigation – her hearing and her cane – were not helping her in the heavy snow. Raven was lost and alone.

In that moment, Raven made a life-changing decision: “I’ve got to get a guide dog.”

A New Beginning

This year, through generous tax-deductible donations by friends like you, Raven was paired with her Guiding Eyes guide dog. With her beautiful black Labrador Retriever by her side, Raven has found both safety and independence – no matter what the weather brings.

Right now, you can give an online donation to help a puppy become a loving guide dog like Tammy and change a life.

“With my cane, I worried about what was in front of me,” says Raven. “With Tammy, I trust her to guide, like Guiding Eyes trained her so well to do.”

The bond between Raven and Tammy is the connection made possible by generous gifts from our Guiding Eyes supporters. People just like you fund our mission to provide these world-class guide dogs at no cost to people who are blind or visually impaired.

Tammy loves snow and is happy to help Raven find her way, every day.

But I really need your help to bring safety and independence to more people like Raven who have also said, ”I’ve got to get a guide dog.”

Now is your last chance to make a 2018 tax-deductible year-end donation to Guiding Eyes. It is easy, secure and takes five minutes to change a life. And, it’s a wonderful feeling to know you helped give the charitable gift of a guide dog to a person in need.

Wishing you a Happy New Year!
