From the Puppy Raiser…

Liberty is the most intelligent dog I have known, possessing emotional intelligence and empathy as a young puppy. Before learning to catch a ball, Liberty rolled the ball back and forth to me, relying on her front paws rather than her mouth. Endlessly curious about the world, and everything in it, Liberty was a very busy puppy. She didn’t love her baths but loved being swaddled in a towel and dried and kissed afterwards. Liberty and I loved going on walks together, stopping to watch bunnies, and she obediently learned to sit when she wanted to watch. As a young puppy, Liberty needed assistance her first two months with me getting her rear legs up my front stairs. Now she will give her assistance, and I wish for her the affection, love and challenges she thrives on. Liberty came to us when she was 8 months old and we loved having the opportunity to watch her blossom during the 10 months we had her. With each outing and adventure, she gained confidence and showed us more of her joyful personality. Right before we dropped Liberty off for IFT, we took a trip on the ferry to the Statue of Liberty. She handled the busy environment so well and this was such a highlight – seeing how ready she was for bigger and better things.There have been so many people who have been part of Team Liberty and to know her is to love her. We were incredibly lucky to cross paths with Libs at the right place and the right time, and thank all of those who helped along her journey, too.
