Guiding Eyes Featured at Iconic NASDAQ Bell Ringing Ceremony

Guiding Eyes on the Times Square jumbotron

The morning of Friday August 12, 2022 brings an auspicious and exciting first for Guiding Eyes for the Blind. The organization was honored to participate in the iconic Bell Ringing ceremony in the heart of Times Square.  While most ceremonies are hosted by newly publicly traded companies, NASDAQ will occasionally invite non-profit organizations, such as Guiding Eyes, to ring the bell tied to newsworthy moments that highlight their work.

President and CEO, Thomas Panek, took the stage at 9:22 a.m., accompanied by GEB staff, puppy raisers, puppy wranglers…and of course, 8-week old puppies, puppies on program and guide dogs in training.

The opening bell ceremony was a live, recorded moment covered by multiple broadcast outlets. If you missed the live 9:30 a.m. broadcast, the ceremony was streamed on Nasdaq.com, and recorded and archived for future viewing by the public or visit us on Facebook.
