Every guide dog partnership begins long before a harness is placed in hand. It begins with people – dedicated volunteers who give their time, care, and energy to move our mission forward.
During National Volunteer Week, we celebrate the full community behind each partnership. From those working hands-on with our pups to those supporting operations in our day-to-day work, every volunteer plays a vital role in creating greater independence for people with vision loss.
Volunteering with Guiding Eyes is about more than what you do – it’s about being part of something bigger.
It’s the shared commitment that carries a puppy through early development. It’s the support that helps a dog safely navigate the world. And it’s the collective effort that makes it possible for someone with vision loss to move through their day with greater confidence and independence.
As we celebrate this week, we’re also inviting others to be a part of this community. Whether you give your time, make a gift, or help spread the word, every action supports the people and programs that make these partnerships possible.
