How would you describe your guide dog? “Doll is an absolutely wonderful guide dog. She has a big heart, a determined spirit, and a strong work ethic. She is part of the Running Guide Program and has a great pace and energy, while also being incredibly focused. She is eager to please, loving, and always ready to work. Beyond her skills as a guide, she has a sweet and affectionate personality, making her a joy to have as a partner.”
What made you decide to apply for a guide dog from Guiding Eyes? “I chose Guiding Eyes because of their reputation for training exceptional guide dogs and their specialized Running Guide Program. As someone who values both independence and an active lifestyle, I wanted a guide dog who could keep up with my pace and adapt to different environments. I knew that Guiding Eyes would provide a dog with the skills, intelligence, and heart needed to be a true partner in my daily life.”
How has having a guide dog impacted your life? “Doll has given me greater independence, confidence, and companionship. She helps me navigate my world more efficiently, allowing me to focus on my work, family, and personal goals without hesitation. She is not just a guide but also a loyal friend who makes each day easier and more fulfilling.”
Were there any training highlights? “One of the biggest highlights of my training was meeting the other students. It was inspiring to connect with others going through the same journey, sharing experiences, challenges, and successes. The sense of community and support made the training experience even more meaningful.”

I thoroughly enjoyed raising Doll. She really is a doll, very sweet and chill. She was great with my 3 young grandchildren. She loved playing with other dogs. ~ Sue Thibedeau
