Guiding Eyes For The Blind is a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation. Guiding Eyes for the Blind provides guide dogs to people with vision loss. We are passionate about connecting exceptional dogs with individuals for greater independence. The many purposes of this web site include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

  • Provide information to the general public about Guiding Eyes mission.
  • Provide information to those who might have need of our services.
  • Assist those who wish to apply for a Guiding Eyes dog.
  • Solicit volunteers to support Guiding Eyes programs including puppy raisers.
  • Solicit contributions to support Guiding Eyes programs.
  • Provide a merchandise opportunity for Guiding Eyes products, the proceeds of which helps support Guiding Eyes for the Blind.

Internet Protocol Address

We collect an IP address from all visitors to our Site. An IP address is a number that is automatically assigned to your computer when you use the Internet. We use IP addresses to help diagnose problems with our server, administer our Site, analyze trends, track users’ movement, gather broad demographic information for aggregate use in order for us to improve the site, and deliver customized, personalized content. If a user elects to use our referral service for informing a friend about our Site, we ask them for the friend’s name and email address. Guiding Eyes for the Blind will automatically send the friend a one-time email inviting them to visit the Site. Guiding Eyes for the Blind stores this information for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.

Please note that if you become a contributor, your information may be shared with other nonprofit organizations. Guiding Eyes for the Blind never sells our donor names, but from time to time we do exchange with other non-profit organizations in order to allow us to maintain funding levels.
