Graduate Team: Simon “Mack” and Hank
About the Team: Hank, a black and tan German Shepherd, is Mack’s 2nd Guiding Eyes dog
Hometown: Kinston, North Carolina
Guide Dog Mobility Instructor: Dave Hagemann
Simon, “Mack” comes to Guiding Eyes from North Carolina for his second German Shepherd. Mack earned his associate degree in psychology from Holmes Bible College and continued his education at the North Carolina College of Theology on an Arts scholarship. Mack is a musician with a love of bluegrass and gospel. He and wife Betty enjoy taking long walks for recreation, an activity Hank no doubt enjoys as well.
Hank was a pleasure to raise. He loved going to puppy class, no matter where it was because he knew he was always surrounded by friends- both humans and dogs. Hank loved all the attention from the public, and was always a gentlemen. Most of all, after a class or day at work, Hank loved playing fetch, going for a walk or playing in the water. To the graduate: Best of luck in all your adventures. We hope you have as much fun as we did raising him.
