Welcoming Christopher Perry as Incoming President & CEO

Dear Guiding Eyes Graduate Community,

I’m pleased to share that Christopher Perry will be joining us as our new President & CEO, effective November 3rd. Christopher is an accomplished nonprofit executive with extensive experience leading mission-driven organizations. He brings a servant leadership approach and a strong track record of implementing organizational improvements that enhance mission impact, increase fundraised revenue, and reduce costs.

Christopher bears a personal connection to our mission – his mother is blind – and he has most recently served as President & CEO of Spectrum for Living, a New Jersey nonprofit dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, including some who are blind or have low vision. His leadership there has positively impacted thousands of lives annually through a network of 26 program locations, including a 60-bed Intermediate Care Facility, 5-day habilitation programs, 15 residential group homes, and 4 large supervised apartment residences. His previous roles include Executive Director positions at Ronald McDonald House Charities New York Tri-State Area, College Summit New York, and Boys Hope Girls Hope of New York. He began his nonprofit journey at Covenant House New York, where he advocated for and provided legal services to homeless and runaway youth.

A former civil defense litigator and current member of the New York State Bar, Christopher holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Skidmore College, a Juris Doctorate from Washington University School of Law, and a Master’s degree in Nonprofit Management from The New School.

We look forward to welcoming Christopher and introducing him to our community in the coming weeks.

Thank you all for your continued support.

Warm regards,

Laura Peterman
