Guiding Eyes is more than just a guide dog organization. Together with our dedicated staff, hardworking volunteers, and generous donors, we work towards a common purpose: to help individuals who are blind or with vision loss define their own future with our exceptional guide dogs at their side. Without the ongoing support of our generous donors and volunteers, we would not be able to accomplish our mission. We are forever grateful for your support. Thank you.
Watch the story of our work in action
In this video, three Guiding Eyes for the Blind graduates – Rebekah Cross, Renard Francois, and Juliana Lee – share their inspiring stories of overcoming vision loss with the support of their Guiding Eyes guide dogs. Discover the life-changing impact of these partnerships as you follow their powerful journeys of independence and triumph.
Guiding Eyes has over 70 years of experience in providing guide dogs to people with vision loss. We estimate that more than 10,000 service dog teams have graduated since our founding in 1954. Approximately 100 guide dogs are placed annually, and more than 2,000 volunteers support our mission.
Guiding Eyes for the Blind helps give those with vision loss greater independence in their day-to-day lives, and simultaneously inspires others to help make these life changing connections possible. Each Guiding Eyes graduate has a unique story of life changing events, challenges, determination, and triumph. Thanks to the support of our amazing donors and volunteers, we have been able to tell the happy ending to these stories for the past 70 plus years.
