Plant a Tree

Honor Your Furever Friend with a Tree

The Big Dog Area is an important part of our Canine Development Center. It’s the favorite spot for our dogs to romp and play as a break from their hard work in training. And up until last May, it was a shady, tree-filled paradise.

Then an F1 tornado destroyed more than 100 of those trees, along with fencing and other structures. Thanks to many generous friends who pitched in, we’ve been able to clean up and repair the area . . . but the dogs still miss all those trees.

Help replant the area today, and honor a special dog in your life at the same time! Choose your tree—from an aptly named dogwood to a rustling birch—and dedicate it to a furever friend, just as Valerie J. did. She told us:

“A beautiful birch tree will be a gift in memory of our good girl Copper, and will bring happiness and shade and beauty for all the dogs who dedicate their lives to being the eyes and support for their best friends.”

Half of your gift today will plant the tree of your choice, and the other half will help train a guide dog to be a faithful companion to someone with vision loss. What better way to honor a dog who has made a difference in your life this holiday season?
